City of Bristol Defender Timm Klose reacted to signing a new deal with the club saying he felt an instant connection with the team’s fans when he arrived at Ashton Gate.
The Robins today confirmed that the 34-year-old has put pen to paper on a new one-year contract in BS3.
Klose’s current deal was due to expire next month, with the former Switzerland international only signing a short-term contract when he joined the club in January.
Since this arrival, Klose says he is happy to have been able to contribute positively to Bristol City’s efforts.
“I have really enjoyed my time at the club since joining in January and felt an instant connection with the players, staff and fan base.” klose said Bristol City Club Media.
“I’m glad to have come into the team and managed to contribute at both ends of the pitch as we finished the season with a bit of momentum, which we hope we can bring to the season ahead.
“I would also like to thank Nigel and the club for giving me the opportunity to continue my journey with Bristol City.”
Klose made 18 Championship appearances for the Robins following his arrival midway through the 2021/22 season.
It’s good to see Bristol City agreeing a new contract deal with Timm Klose ahead of the summer.
As the defender himself said above, he was able to contribute positively after joining the club in January and there’s no reason why he can’t continue to do so.
That said, Bristol City still need to make plenty more additions this summer.
Nigel Pearson’s side finished the season 17th in the Championship table, and the Robins boss will want to make sure they don’t slip further down the table next campaign.
