Much-loved defender Kris Moore has put pen to paper in professional terms at Leeds United – signing a two-and-a-half-year contract until June 2024. Many responded, after the center-back posted on Instagram.
Moore, 18, has been a regular on the club’s Under-23 team under Mark Jackson this season – having entered the squad late last season. He only missed two of Premier League 2’s 16 games in 21-22.
Playing either center-back, right of a three-way defender or even right-back, Moore showed quality – but also versatility. The latter being an important trait if he wants to break into Marcelo Bielsa’s senior squad.
While Moore is yet to make his senior debut, he has been named to the Leeds bench three times, including Sunday’s FA Cup loss to West Ham. He was also in the squad for the win against Burnley and the loss to Arsenal.
After signing a contract until June 2024 – his first professional contract at Leeds – Moore underscored his joy with a post on Instagram. The defender expressed his pride in having signed an agreement with his “childhood club”.
