Liverpool and Salah’s camp are confident of reaching a contractual agreement

Liverpool and Mohamed Salah’s side are confident of reaching an agreement on a new contract soon.

the Sunday world says Liverpool had hoped to tie Salah to a new contract during lengthy contract negotiations in recent months and now speculation is mounting that a deal could be agreed.

Salah’s current contract at Liverpool expires in the summer of 2023, with reports suggesting the Egyptian pushing for a lavish deal worth £500,000 a week are far from accurate.

Instead, a structured deal has been negotiated which will see Salah receive a hefty signing fee and a contract which will include loyalty bonuses and performance-related payments.

This would allow Liverpool owners to keep the wage bill in check, while rewarding their star man with a contract that justifies his status as one of the club’s all-time great strikers.

Today Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas teased Liverpool fans after posting a picture of the couple on social media amid speculation over the striker’s proposed new contract.

Abbas and Salah can be seen in the photo shared on social media this morning, the Liverpool striker laughing as his representative appears to be using his phone right behind him.
