Championship – Blackburn Rovers v Millwall
Millwall are in advanced talks with Billy Mitchell over a new deal at The Den, soccer world league has been said.
The Lions embark on a new season of the Sky Bet Championship with the same goal as in recent years – a challenge for the second tier play-offs.
They’ve shrewdly moved around the market again to try and boost their chances, and it also looks like they’re looking to keep some of their current talent, which is always a positive for fans of any club in soccer.
Indeed, this site has been informed that Billy Mitchell is currently in talks with the Lions over a new deal to keep him at Bermondsey, with him coming through the ranks after joining as a child.
The club have been impressed with his progress as a player over the past two years and are keen to reward him for it, his latest contract signing in early 2020.
He is a homegrown player and of course at Millwall – as at any other club – keeping such players, as long as they are good enough, is always welcome.
It looks like that’s what will happen with Mitchell, then, with talks at an advanced stage.
