JAMMU, 10th June: In a major development, NHPC has signed a contractual agreement with M/s Adani Infra India Limited for an EPC contract for the development of a 600MW solar project under the CPSU Phase-II program on 09.06 .2022 at NHPC Head Office, Faridabad.
The agreement was signed in the presence of AK Singh, CMD, NHPC. RP Goyal, Director (Finance) and Biswajit Basu, Director (Projects) of NHPC and Dr. Manish Karna, Business Development Manager of M/s Adani Infra (India) Limited were also present on the occasion.
Under the dynamic and energetic leadership of AK Singh, CMD, NHPC, the company is expanding its renewable energy portfolio and has undertaken several renewable energy projects under different modes. This initiative by NHPC will be an important step towards India’s carbon neutrality.
NHPC had awarded an EPC contract for the development of grid-connected solar PV projects (1000MW) and its transmission line for power evacuation to ISTS substation as well as full operation and maintenance for 5 years under the tranche III of the CPSU Phase II program on 12.05.2022 to M/s Adani Infra (India) Limited (600 MW in Gujarat), M/s Tata Power Solar Systems (300 MW in Rajasthan) and M /s SSEL-ASR JV (100MW in Andhra Pradesh) with a total assigned value of Rs 6604.42 crore with an execution period of 18 months.
