JAMMU, 24th May: NHPC Limited, India’s leading hydropower company, today signed a contractual agreement with M/s Tata Power Solar Systems Limited for an EPC contract for the development of a 300MW solar project under the CPSU Phase-II program, at the NHPC headquarters in Faridabad.
The agreement was signed in the presence of AK Singh (CMD NHPC) and Ashish Khanna (President, Renewable Energy, Tata Power). RP Goyal Director (Finance) NHPC and Biswajit Basu Director (Projects) NHPC were also present on the occasion along with other senior executives from NHPC and M/s Tata Power Solar Systems Limited.
NHPC had awarded an EPC contract for the development of grid-connected solar PV projects (1000MW) and its transmission line for power evacuation to ISTS substation as well as full operation and maintenance for 5 years under tranche – III of the CPSU Phase-II program on 05-12-2022 to M/s Adani Infra (India) Limited (600 MW in Gujarat), M/s Tata Power Solar Systems (300 MW in Rajasthan) and M/s SSEL – ASR JV (100 MW in Andhra Pradesh) with the total awarded value of Rs 6604.42 crore with a performance period of 18 months.
