There is only one day left before Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe is free to strike a pre-contract deal with Real Madrid.
The Frenchman is entering the final six months of his contract at Parc des Princes and it’s no secret that the 23-year-old is keen to join Real Madrid this summer.
Mbappe had wanted to move to the Santiago Bernabeu last summer, although PSG rejected two mega-money offers worth £ 137million and £ 154million for the striker.

Reports suggest, however, that Mbappe and Real Madrid are in no rush to agree on a contract signing.
On the Transfer Window podcast, it was clarified that the two sides spoke to each other this month but agreed to wait until summer.
Podcast host Duncan Castles said: “During these talks it was concluded that they would not complete a deal and try to make a deal in the January window, even if it is formally and legally allowed to talk to Real Madrid and sign a pre-contract if he wanted to.
“The main reason is that Real Madrid were drawn with Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League. Mbappe wants to respect the club and he doesn’t want any issues in his last six months at PSG.

“Real Madrid also think it would not be a good idea to try to force the deal to be done at this point, given that they have to play against Paris Saint-Germain, given the complications that could have come in. in the game.
“They are confident they have this deal in place when it is safer to do so.
“And so you have a situation where Mbappe and Real Madrid have agreed” we are leaving that until the summer, we want it to happen, the intention is there on the wrong side, but the timing is bad from a sporting point of view “.
PSG and Real Madrid will face off in the round of 16 of the Champions League, with the first leg taking place at the Parc des Princes on February 15.
This means Mbappe could knock Real Madrid out of the competition – before joining them this summer.
